North Carolina State University Public Safety Leadership Initiative (PSLI): North Carolina local government law enforcement personnel who are members of Civic are eligible to apply for tuition scholarships for the Administrative Officers Management Program (AOMP) and Law Enforcement Executive Program (LEEP).
Application Deadlines
The Scholarship Selection Committee reviews applications based on the course start date. Scholarship application deadlines and portal open/close dates are shown below:
AOMP Application Deadlines
- April 1 - course running May through July
- July 1 - course running August through November
- December 1 - course running January through April
LEEP Application Deadline
- September 1 - class runs for one week each month between October and March
Important Information
- Applicant's membership with the credit union will be verified and applicant will be notified if ineligible to apply for the scholarship. Please note, membership with SECU does not qualify an applicant for the AOMP/LEEP Scholarship Program.
- Applicants are required to show proof of course registration prior to submitting their application. Courses where applicants may be waiting on acceptance, a copy of the confirmation email proving an applicant has applied to attend will suffice.
- Scholarship funds must be used for the original course in which the applicant applied. Funds cannot be held or carried over for future use. If a scholarship recipient is unable to attend their course, the scholarship will be forfeit.
Civic employees, directors and/or family members, or members of any of the Scholarship Selection Committees, are not eligible for these scholarships.
